Dr Sam Sorrenti is a specialist in stem cell assisted arthroscopic surgery of the knee. He has been in practice since 1986 and has established himself as an expert in the fields of arthroscopic surgery and major tendon ruptures.
Dr Sam Sorrenti graduated from University of NSW Medical School in 1975. Following intern and resident years at St Vincent’s Hospital he completed orthopaedic training in 1985. He then commenced a Fellowship in Knee Surgery at The Centre with Dr Mervyn Cross in 1985 before starting in practice in 1986.
Since that time Dr Sorrenti has built up an enviable reputation in the world of Rugby League following a long association with the North Sydney Bears. He is currently the team doctor for the Australian-Italian Rugby League Team. He is the consulting Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Parramatta Eels.
Dr Sorrenti has been awarded the Order of Star Solidarity of Italy (an Italian knighthood) and invested with the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta.
